The Web Video Marketing Council and Flimp Media have put together their quarterly report, Q4-2011 Online Video Marketing Survey, Chicago production companies and Video Email Trends Report, which found that 81% of online marketers used video in their work, in Q4-2011. However, their publishing habits were split as 67% of these marketers posted to their own sites while 61% posted content to social media sites. Likewise, 52% say they’ve done video email marketing and 88% of them stated it had a positive impact.
The survey included 16 questions, reached 272 respondents across various industries – 38% were from mid-sized Chicago production companies of 101 to 1,000 employees. 6% were from large enterprises with more than 1,000 employees. Below is a graph that demonstrates respondents by industry.
64 percent of the respondents said their video marketing budgets would increase in 2012, while 17% thought it would remain stable and 29% thought theirs budgets might drop. Additionally, 76% of respondents noticed an increase in click through rates after implementing a video campaign. Another 72% believe that online video production marketing raises purchase intent/conversion.
