Cars and corporate video part 2

It seems that most car dealership commercials are identical. Someone from the lot, often the owner, walks around pointing out the latest products, deals, and special dealership offers. Perhaps the reason so many of these videos look and feel the same has something to do with the content that’s being highlighted. How much creativity can go into a car dealership ad? Maybe more than you think.

This commercial not only fits the convention, but adds a little personality to the mix. The ending is not only funny, but unexpected, and does a pretty good job of keeping viewers’ attention. Here’s another from the same dealership.

Who says car commercials only have to focus on cars? It’s worth noting that car dealerships are essentially selling identical products, and expensive ones at that. One dealership isn’t going to be significantly more affordable than the other, so capturing consumer attention and loyalty is vital in staying afloat.

The video production Chicago projects above were probably helpful in getting that attention by showing a side of the dealership staff people might not expect to see in a commercial.
