If your business sells a product that consumers must assemble, consider making a detailed instructional video. We all come to fear “insert tab A into slot B” when opening our disassembled furniture, so why not show an expert assembling the actual item instead of providing only some flat sketches and confusing directions.
And it doesn’t even have to be an expensive video production. Provide clear, concise and slow narration as appropriate, throw in a little humor to keep things light, and add a little Chicago videographer style (maybe a fast-forward transition here and there), and before you know it, you’ve got a great, instructional video. Maybe not a viral hit among the YouTube set, but definitely some helpful information for your customers.
