According to a post on Mashable.com, this morning Apple announced its brand new mobile advertising application called iAd.
The Mashable article describes the application as being built directly into the iPhone’s OS interface. iAd works by keeping videographer Chicago users within the application rather than linking them to a Web site and stresses interaction.
Here’s a video from Tv.slashgear.com of Steve Jobs demoing iAd this morning with a Nike iAd app:
As you can see, video is a major part of the iAd “interaction meets emotion” advertising model. Mashable also talked about a Toy Story 3 advertisement that Jobs demoed this morning that had a viewable trailer and playable games.
Only time will tell if the iAd becomes the new mobile go-to advertising model. But the more interactive advertising becomes, the more need there is for marketing video production, which is what we specialize in here at Video One Productions.
