The Web Video Marketing Council is conducting its second annual Video Email Marketing Survey to examine how marketing professionals are using online video, social media and, in particular, video email in their outbound marketing and communications efforts. We’d like your help and you’re invited to participate in the short online survey at the bottom of this article.

Video Email Marketing Past: 2010 Survey Results
Last year’s survey results revealed some interesting and compelling insights into the usage of and interest in video email marketing. For example:
- 73% of respondents believed that integrating video with email marketing likely increases email CTR(click-through rates).
- Additionally, almost three quarters stated that they believed that consumers would be more likely to purchase or convert after viewing an email campaign that included video.
- Roughly 50% of the respondents stated that they had already used video in their email marketing efforts.
- Almost 1/4 said they were considering using video within email marketing.
The survey also asked marketers what they think are the most effective ways to deploy video production company with email and what they believe are the primary barriers to using video with email marketing. Most marketers agreed that linking from a video image in the email message to a video landing page was the most effective while using animated and video GIF’s were cited by the fewest number of marketers as the most effective video email application.
