A new study from One Touch Intelligence offers additional insight on households in which adult viewers watch video on the internet.
The study, based on a survey of 1,007 homes in which the resident watched an online video in the past month, concluded that:
- Viewing internet video takes up 31% of time the viewers spend at home with other Television sources.
- Hulu is the most watched internet video site. 53% of households watch long-form content, i.e. TV show episodes, movies, once a month.
- Those who watch internet video on TVs are less likely to watching short-form content on PCs.
The study, titled “Internet Video 2010: Content, Usage and Devices,” which was conducted in April 2010, also found some pretty cool stuff about how users watch internet video. It found that 52% of users watch online video only on PCs, 42% watch online video on TV screens and PCs but only 6% watch online video on TV screens only.
