Using Interviews and Testimonials for Marketing Purposes
One of the best ways to market your product or service is through interviews and testimonials. One caveat, though. As with any marketing video, it must be professionally filmed and edited. If your video is excellent, the viewer will transfer that sentiment to your company. However, if you show potential clients a poor quality video, they will assume that they’re dealing with a less than professional company.
Single Spokesperson Interview
One approach is to have an articulate spokesperson be the voice and image of your company.
Develop a script or outline of what will be said, include b-roll or cutaway footage, add animated text, branding, licensed music, and let your onscreen talent carry the day for your company.
Employee Interviews
Another way to use interviews to convey your marketing message is to film your employees.
If some of your employees aren’t the most ‘camera-friendly,’ keep their comments short. Our experienced interview videographer will prepare and relax the interviewee to do their best, though. Adding b-roll or cutaway footage is always a plus.
Testimonial Interviews
Having satisfied clients provide testimonials about your company can be the most effective way to give the viewers a comfort level about your business.
The fact that a client would go the extra mile to appear on camera says much about your work quality and how they feel about working with your business.
Whichever approach you use for your interview marketing video, make sure you’re aware of your goals and what you want the interviewee to say. Of course, there are other factors to consider, such as using two cameras, filming in 4K video, utilizing a Steadicam for some of the shots, and proper audio equipment, but that’s where we can help.
