We often talk about the benefits of creating online video production because the web offers tons of free services and platforms for people or Chicago videographer businesses wary of spending too much money on an unfamiliar new concept. However, there are brands who are not only investing in video, they’re willing to experiment with the medium. One company that is using video in unconventional new ways is ASICS, an athletic shoe and performance apparel brand.
With the help of Vitro Videos, ACICS filmed professional runner and Olympian, Ryan Hall, doing what he does best, then installed a custom video screen in a public subway station where people could actually race the Olympian through the tunnel.
A project like this must have cost the shoe company quite a bit of time and effort, and with no advertising element inherent in the content, I wonder if ASICS cared or considered the ROI of this project. Maybe not, but the project and the online media coverage that followed has certainly made some people more aware of the company. That counts for something, right?
