The Place for Chicago Conventions and Trade Show Video Production
Video One does trade show video production by filming and editing trade shows, meetings, and conventions at McCormick Place at least once every two weeks. Sometimes we just film the footage and give it to the client, while other times they want us to edit the footage into a summary of their trade show booth, presentations, meetings, networking, testimonials, and other events.

McCormick Place is the largest convention center in North America and has been hosting conventions and other events for more than 57 years. Not only does it host trade shows, but other events such as the 2012 NATO Summit, Barak Obama’s farewell speech to America in 2017, and other international events have also occurred there.
McCormick Place is an ideal venue for any event, as it’s a short cab ride to downtown, world class hotels, museums and restaurants, Millennium Park, the Art Institute and many other attractions. Parking is ample, reasonably priced, and easily accessible for such a huge facility.

While McCormick Place is a ‘union shop’, non-union videographers such as Video One are able to shoot there as well. In fact, non-union videographers can film in any union venue without paying union labor to plug into their electric, as long as they remain on battery power. However, if you’ve rented a booth, you’re paying for electricity anyway, and your non-union video vendor can plug in to the electric if needed. But you may want to double check this, as rules often change in union facilities.

Types of Trade Show Video Production We Create
When we edit presentations, we typically open with a branded opening, followed by the title, lower thirds identifying the presenter(s), the presentation, and then a call to action at the end.
When we edit a trade show summary reel, it includes branding, an animated logo, video of people interacting at the trade show booth, networking, excerpts of presentations, shots of the venue, demonstrations, and other events set to music, and often accompanied by voice over.
Testimonials and interviews generally include a branded opening, the edited footage from one or two cameras, the testimonial or interview, lower thirds identifying the person being interviewed, and music. Often, clients will rent a room at a hotel to conduct interviews that we film. With the LED lighting that we use, there is little chance that we’ll blow a fuse or otherwise have to be concerned about electrical power.
So whether you’re at McCormick Place, one of many hotels, or another convention center, Video One can provide you with single or multi-camera production and subsequent editing services.
