Interesting news on the Chicago videographer front. The social media-friendly video production app Vine has surpassed hipster photography app Instagram in Twitter shares. The instant stop-motion app is, evidently, taking the world by storm. While it’s definitely too soon to call this race in favor of the video app, it’s noteworthy that over the course of one 24-hour period Vine earned 2.86 million shares while Instagram earned 2.17 million. Perhaps Vine’s novelty will wear out, just like sepia-toned photos of restaurant food got old quick. For now it seems people are willing to spend six seconds watching their friends’ videos on Twitter. From the looks of some of the Vines we’ve seen, production companies in Chicago don’t have too much to worry about yet.
